1. Plan your outfit the night before 

Or at least think about it. Don’t worry, it’s not going to eat up in your dinner (or Netflix) time and it’s going to make your mornings a whole lot easier. Check the weather app for the next day, give your closet a quick browse and identify the main piece of your outfit if not your entire ootd. Not only will you be able to snooze those extra five minutes, but you will finally be able to style that skirt you always want to but never have time for while rushing out the door!

2. Build your basics 

Your wardrobe is as good as its foundation aka, your staples. Build your basics in a thoughtful manner and you will never look back again. The right staples go a long way in effortless outfit recipes. Invest in good quality, versatile pieces that are as hardworking as you.

3. Don’t be afraid to try something new 

By now you know your fashion formula — what looks good, what can look better. But every once in a while, it’s a good idea to shake things up in the style department. Try belting your sweater if you normally don’t, swap your delicate jewelry layers with a statement piece, even a new lipstick can do the trick.

4. Accessorize. Accessorize. Accessorize. 

Truly, the exclamation point of any outfit, accessories make or break an outfit. It’s what makes any look your own so playing around with your jewelry is a good idea. You might discover a signature style you will feel incomplete without (stacked bracelets or layered rings) or just a new fun way of popping your workwear via an unexpected hero piece (tassel earrings are surprisingly desk friendly).  

5. Elevate your workwear 

It’s surprisingly easy to get into a Monday-Friday rut but it need not be as uninspired as it often turns out to be. Don’t dismiss workwear as a collection of boring must haves, instead think of interesting ways on bringing some of your fashion flair to your work table. It’s easier than you think.
