Describe your perfect summer shindig?
My perfect summer party is a small get together by the beach. I would start with packing a huge bag full of fresh fruit, homemade snacks, sandwiches, drinks. I would also pack a stereo for music and equipment for games like a football, volleyball, or corn hole! After a full beach day, my favorite thing is to walk the beach, watch the sun set and pop a bottle of champagne. If there’s time then I’ll take the party back to my house to make pizza in the outdoor pizza oven for dinner!
What are the key ingredients to hosting a memorable party?
I think one of the key ingredients to hosting a memorable party is to relax and not overthink anything. A party is always much more enjoyable when everything is at ease and free-flowing without a set agenda or plan to follow. You just want your guests to enjoy each others company without feeling any nervous energy. You don’t have to worry about anything being “perfect.” To help be more in the moment at your party prepare a lot of food and drinks in advance so you can relax and enjoy with your guests.
Who are your top three dream dinner party guests?
Audrey Hepburn, Abraham Lincoln, and Albert Einstein.
What is your go-to hostess with the mostest outfit?
My go-to hostess outfit is something that is comfortable and easy to move around in. I usually choose to wear a maxi dress or an off the shoulder shirt with some cute shorts or jeans.
What is your fave hostess gift — to receive & give?
I think a great hostess gift is always a candle. Who doesn’t love something cozy that smells delicious!
Any other tips?
I think another helpful part of throwing a great party is having a co-captain to help you with any last minute things that you may need a hand with like errands etc. It can be a spouse, sibling or friend. You know, just in case!
