Meet Whitney Oleman. Currently working on a master’s in Organizational Psychology, this SoCal girl loves fashion, Miranda Kerr and everything else related to fashion and Miranda Kerr! She takes out some time from her internship and summer dreaming — “cute rompers, huge straw hats, and pina coladas on the beach with my feet in the clear blue ocean” — for a LT chat. How would you describe your signature style?
I would say my personal style is feminine silhouettes in a minimalist color palette. I love flowy blouses and sundresses but there’s a catch — they have to be in black or other neutrals!
What’s your typical day like and how does Le Tote fit in?
My day often begins with me putting in hours at my internship and ends at happy hour with my cohort. I am someone who can get bored dressing business casual or wearing “work appropriate” clothing, so I love that Le Tote provides me the option of trying out new pieces for work and never lets me get complacent with my style. I also love that these pieces can be mixed in with my casual, street style wear as well as my professional wear.
What is your idea of a perfect OOTD?
My perfect OOTD would probably be a flowy white blouse (the more it looks like it came out of the French Revolution, the better!) tucked into a pear of black skinnies and a pair of heeled, black suede ankle boots. Possibly with a pastel tone (probably powder blue, but I’m open to blush) leather jacket and a cute pair of tortoise shell glasses.
Your favorite fashion trends this summer?
I’m such a fan of the off-the-shoulder/ cold shoulder trend! I think it takes what would otherwise be an unimpressive basic and makes it so trendy. It’s such a simple way to up an outfit and make it a little edgier. I also adore having one pastel-toned splash of color (a blush jacket, a powder blue bag) in an otherwise neutral color story.
Who is your style icon?
Miranda Kerr. She manages to look chic and feminine and effortless 24/7! If only we could all make it look so easy!
