KICK IT OFF WITH COLOR

We have been living in our all-black everything. Some adventurous days see a splash of tan, navy or grey. Winter whites look fabulous on Pinterest but the reality of it is, well, different. So here is what you can do: Ditch your black skinnies for a jewel-toned culottes. Or start with your basics (be it black, blue or greige) and slowly add a dash of color. A printed scarf here, an embroidered bomber there or even a fab lipstick.
Current crush: Vibrant tassel earrings — somehow they seem to work with just about everything!

IT’S ALL IN THE LAYERS

The key to smart transitional style lies in the jacket. Not too heavy but not too light; needs to go with most things but definitely can’t be boring. We can think of bombers, cozy cardigans, moto jackets and modern army jackets.
Current crush: Duster coats (originally worn centuries ago to protect clothing by when riding in open cars) get our third piece MVP award. They take any outfit from basic to anything but.
