You can still look stylish while exploring the outdoors with your family. Because we take our days of family fun very seriously, we teamed up with Google’s Local Guides community to brainstorm things to do while showing off your new looks. Also: yay spring!
HIKING WITH THE FAMILY
What to wear: Leggings + comfy crew top
EXPLORING THE NEIGHBORHOOD
What to wear: Jeans + sweater + Scarf
Whether you are hopping on to a Segway tour or booking tickets to your local museum, exploring your neighborhood is the kind of fam jam we totally recommend.
Dress code: Fave jeans, neutral sweater and a pop of plaid.
PICNIC IN THE PARK
What to wear: Jeans + tee + relaxed cardigan
A picnic demands nothing more than your staples but it’s always a good idea to add a fabulous third piece. We love the ease of knit cardigans for an effortless look that’s both comfy and chic.
WHERE TO WEAR:
- United States Botanic Garden (Washington, DC) is a sprawling destination featuring a conservatory, a rare plants gallery and a butterfly garden, all right in the heart of Washington, DC. Local Guides say “it’s a beautiful place to walk slowly and, well, smell the flowers!”
- If you want to see the sights of San Francisco, San Francisco Segway Tours — Electric Tour Company is the way to roll. “We were able to see a good amount of the city in a short amount of time,” says Local Guide Jarrod Hoover.
- Jogging paths and picnic-friendly grassy spots set around a boating-friendly lake make Denver’s Sloan’s Lake Park a great place for family fun in Denver. Local Guides verdict: “Whether you want to walk, run, workout or bbq, this park is always buzzing with energy and people.”
