Now trending! Earth tones & mineral stones

Shades of browns, grays and greens come together to create the season’s soothing color palette. Earthy tones are effortless to mix and match, look polished and best of all, are so easy to repeat (try discreetly repeating your hot pink sweater from last week). Here are some ways to create outfits that are so stylish in a down-to-earth manner!

Who says sparkle doesn’t mix with earthy? Elevate your trusty grey long blazer with a statement necklace and shine through midweek mayhem.

An allover print such as this on a earthy palette is the best way to combine timeless and trendy. Case in point: this shirtdress! Add another element of interest via a fuzzy scarf and a neutral cardigan and seal the deal.

Move over navy, dark olive is the new pairing for black! A faded boho blouse comes very handy to make a style statement that is very effective yet not fussy. Get these pants here. So flattering and they work so well from desk to dinner!

Did you know?

Gemstones and crystals are known for their healing properties. They are believed to have the power to release mental, physical and spiritual blockages. For example, a ruby can help overcome exhaustion and lethargy, calm hyperactivity in some individuals and also act as an aphrodisiac.

Most states have their official gems, stones and minerals. New York’s official gemstone is garnet, Florida’s official gem is the moonstone and California’s is benitoite. This fluorescent blue gemstone is extremely rare.

According to legend, Cleopatra’s favorite gemstone was peridot.  Peridot olivine is the birthstone for the month of August.

High quality opals can cost more than diamonds. Some even as high as $ 20,000 a carat! The red diamond is one of the rarest gemstones in the world, there are less than 40 in the world and it costs about $800,000 per carat!
