THE SKIRT STYLING DIRECTION

When it’s cold out, getting dressed often revolves around an easy formula — black leggings/ripped jeans + oversized sweater.  But as the sun starts to come out, let’s shake some things in the fashion department too. Here are some easy styling tips that will make you reach out for the skirts hanging at the back of your closet or a click on Le Tote. Get ready to skirt the issue!

Maxi skirts look all floaty and beach-ready but they are actually quite easy to winterize. Set your pre-spring moodboard rolling in our ombre skirt or channel some military chic. Not feeling too confident yet? You can never go wrong in a simple black one. Tuck in a graphic sweater, throw on some boots and you are set!

RECIPE 2: THE PENCIL + BELTED CARDIGAN

A power pencil skirt and #girlboss go hand-in-hand. Want to add some spunk? Choose classic stripes in B&W or say hello to some color. Seal the deal with some tights and a belted cardigan. Own your next meeting!

RECIPE 3: THE MIDI + TURTLE NECK & COAT

A feminine and playful midi skirt is just what you need to drive the winter blues away. Go for a statement color or a flirty silhouette or combine the two in one amazing skirt. Finish your look with a hat, scarf and a neutral coat. Did we mention just how flattering a midi skirt is for all body types?

RECIPE 4: THE MINI + TIGHTS & TRENDY LAYERS

If you like to have some serious fun with fashion, mini skirts are your way to go. Lift a simple black mini by adding a splash with pop or patterned tights. Go with a metallic beauty for your next night out. Want to take an extra step? Revamp your basic black tights by layering it with colored socks. Nothing minimalist about a mini skirt!
