How to Reinvent Your Wardrobe— Without Spending a Dime

It’s time for a little Spring Cleaning ladies, and we’re here to show you how. With so many new looks coming out, your wardrobe is going to need the space. With our 4 simple steps to cleaning out your closet, you’ll be on your way to a more organized wardrobe.

Step 1: Swap

Here at LT, our motto is ‘Swap Til You Drop’! So get a group of girls together and make it a party!

Swap Tips:

1. Separate your wardrobe into 3 categories; what you can’t live without, cute looks that your friends might want, and finally, stuff you just really need to get rid of.

2. Leave the raggedy looks behind: We’ll tell you how to get rid of these later, but please no stained or hole riddled garments! You want other girls to WANT your clothes, shoes, and accessories. Remember, the more they like, the more you get to swap!

3. Make it fun! Include snacks and drinks to make it good time. Remember, you’re basically shopping for free, what’s not to love?

Step 2: Sell

Now that you’ve swapped out the old with the new, it’s time to make some dough. Take your remaining clothes from the Swap to your favorite consignment store. Most consignment stores allow you to get store credit or cash for any items they buy off you. So either take the money and run, or go shopping! You can even try Poshmark, ThreadUp, Twice, and more to sell your clothes online!

Step 3: Dump

Remember how you separated your wardrobe into 3 parts? After you’ve swapped and sold, it’s time to dump. Take the items you just have to get rid of to Good Will, Salvation Army, or any charity foundation that accepts used items.

Remember, never throw your clothes away! There is always someone out there who could use them.

Step 4: Pick Up the Pieces

Now that you’re left with the looks you really want, it’s time to get organized!
